Illustration

here I created a gouache interior painting depicting what the inside of the house would look like in my story book.

Above is shown the initial sketches i made for the gothic styled house inspired by different illustrations i had foundin this piece i had to create a dark basement for the house group project  here i was exploring the incorporation of colour alongside the monochrome gothic house to see if the contrast complimented the work. Although i found that keeping everything black and white was more in line with many desired outcome   This was a half traditional half digital piece i created of the house interior i imagined for my story book.

Shown below i was exploring character options for my story book. I gained inspiration off Tim burtons works aswell as my own character i had drawn as a kid. I like the final character but think it needs altered to be more in line with the theme. For example having black and white clothes instead.
Here i explored Victorian textile design based on morris and Co. Work. I feel their designs tie in well with the gothic Victorian style i was aiming for so explored how i could produce patterns in the interior of the house potentially.

This was another room i had designed for my house group task.

Photography and aesthetics write up

For my theme of identity I wanted my images to explore the idea of detachment, feeling out of place and not knowing where I belonged at the time of moving to Belfast. I struggled for the first while coming to Belfast for uni as I didn’t really know who I was or what io was doing and it was only really once I left school I was actually able to start figuring all of this out. In these pictures I wanted to represent the initial feelings I had moving to Belfast and the difficulty I experienced.

digital work

for interactive design I worked in my group collectively to brainstorm ideas and come up with an idea after planning as a group, then went on to create the design for our home page on our app, swell as write an over view on the whole idea of our app.

for the protest project we worked collectively to gather information and facts on our topic. I went on to then produce a poster out of paint to represent how we would aim to spread our message through graphic design.

for our drinking game in games design, I drew the over all outline of our board and we worked as a group to then colour it in and write out different challenges and tasks on each square.

for battle ships we worked as a group to brainstorm ideas on improving the game, I then went on to draw out a battle ship prototype with each square acting as a door that can then have chests hidden under neath each square.
