In my original exploration of cinematography, I wanted main shots of the building from the outside, I want these to be eye-level shots from far away so the entire building can be shown, such as standing across the street watching the construction happen. For the interior shots of the building remodel, there is a nice clip from The Third and The Seventh which is two shots side by side. I feel like this will be a nice setup for showing the different sections of the bar at the same time at

Looking at my references from Red Dead 2, I decided it was better to keep the shots in a single place instead of spilting them side by side. I also liked the swift camera movement in the below trailer.

At around 1:52 this trailer is a great example of how to set up a shot with bright lighting against dark assets

In the above trailer, I liked the shot at 0:29 pointing up to the sky, and want to put this as a starting shot then pull the camera down to my main assets.

Below is a test I done on my cinematography. I want the inital shots of the old west to be slow moving, then the new west to be quick moving and sharp.

To provide a voiceover similar to Arthur Morgans, I contacted Frank Gerard off Fiverr and asked him to do a voiceover in a slow Sam Elliot style following my written script.

Wild West Script

What happened to the West you ask?

*Pause*

Well, the time for outlaws passed….

*Pause*

*Slight chuckle* I guess people got tired of getting robbed

*Pause*

Horses became trains and the cities were no place for wanted men.

*Pause*

But change, is it really all that bad?

I then clip this together with my rendered shots

In my edit I struggled to find music that fit the tone of what I was opening with. I wanted music very similar to RDR2s opening scenes, something dark and with a heavy tone to it. I wasn’t able to find a non copyrighted subsitute in time for the submission, but for the End of Year Show I will change this first song. The second song is from a youtube channel dedicated to non-copyright EDM music so can still be used as I wanted something electronic and upbeat to fit the modern theme.
