This week we are learning about character design. Firstly we went over the importance of reference and using shapes colours and props that the audience is familiar with. We then went over shape design within characters and how that is important, for example, characters made up of squares would be reliable and safe and characters made up of circles would be friendly and soft. Our first task was to take a sheet of shapes and turn them into different characters.
We were then tasked with taking famous people and emphasise their proportions.
