Last week we made a low poly character that is good for character animation but it doesnt have a lot of detail. The method that we will be taught today allows us to make a normal map on our low poly model and add in texture to the surface of the model. We did this by using a multires modifier. This allowed us to up the subdivision count and sculpt in the details that we wanted to have on our model. Once we sculpted in all of the texture we needed to bake them down into a image texture. once the image texture was mad we could export the fbx and bring it into substance painter.
