Due to my prior knowledge of 3D in maya and blender I felt confident going in, however, even with that knowledge I was still able to learn a lot. Some of the things I found helpful about the course so far was the in-class lectures and the videos that we were able to follow if we got stuck at any point along the way. As well as this I like the creative freedom towards the end with the sword and helmet as this allowed me to be more ambitious with the modelling process. For example, I had the confidence to try and make the skull and triceratops head in the helmet model were as before this I would not have attempted either. A few things I found difficult about learning blender and the course in general was wrapping my head around the Bezier curve and texture node editor as for the Bezier curve, it was the first time I had used anything like that, and for my prior knowledge of texturing comes from texturing in maya which does not use a node editor. With everything I know now I feel as though I would be able to at least have an attempt with most models in the future.
