Continued modelling
This week I went back to modelling basic assets for the house. I created a fridge and an oven.
I started with the fridge. I made a large rectangular box and used the Unreal Mannequin for a scale reference. I made it fit the art style by moving the top so it was sanding at a weird angle. I also added a small handle.
I was then able to texture it usingĀ a shiny metal for the base material then applied dust and dirt over it. To make it seem like there was a door I painted on a black line around its edge. Below shows its final look in Unreal.
Next I made the oven. Similar to the fridge, I made a box then extruded the front a little to make the door. Then I added four rings on top of various sizes. Finally I added a long door handle.
I also gave it the same base texture as the fridge but I made it look more rusted. I also painted on a glass material for a little window in the door. The rings are just a matte black with rough circles on them.
That is all I managed to create this week as I was focusing on another project as well which took up a lot of time.
