Body mech
This week I continued working on my body mechanics animation. Last time after receiving some feedback I decided I wanted to add my character running and jumping off a building. Below shows the reference videos I used for him running and jumping.
Using these references I was able to first block out the main poses. As the running part was very similar to my run cycle it was easy enough to make. However, the jump and backflip bit was a lot more tricky and for those parts I found it best to animate as I went along, helping to keep the momentum and space out each keyframe correctly. Below shows how much I’ve done so far.
Walk cycle
This week I also continued working on my walk cycle and I finally have a first draft.
