Assignment 2
This week we started working on our assignment 2. For this assignment we must create 3 separate animations in either 3D or 2D animation:
- A walk cycle
- A run cycle
- A body mechanics that shows a physical expression of motion
I immediately knew that I wanted to animate in 3D as I enjoy it far more and I feel my skills have developed well in it. The animation I started with first was the body mechanics one. To help me get a sense of what type of animation need to make and how complicated it has to be, I looked at previous students work. Below are links to the work I looked at.

Looking at these gave me a very good idea of what I have to do. After thinking a bit more about it I decided that I waned to animate a Spiderman landing. I always found the way he lands to be very dynamic and shows interesting body movements.
Once I looked around online for a while I found the perfect video reference for what I want to do. This shows exactly what I was hoping to do and will help me greatly as I can slow done the video and focus on each pose.
Next I will block out and begin animating my body mechanics.
