This week the team that I have been sorted into came up with five ideas for a world in which we will have our group project set in and revolve around. When it came down with narrowing our ideas down to five then to one, we had a lot of trouble figuring out what to keep and what to get rid of as there was a lot of potential in all of the ideas, so we as a group elected to combining the five remaining ideas into the one world to tell an overall story; these ideas were Junk/Mad Max world, Vampires, Post-Alien Invasion, Mechas and Robotic Animals.

For the homework this week we were tasked with creating six thumbnails of this world using the knowledge we were learning this class on how to use composition and perspective to create an interesting and three-dimensional world that uses the ideas that we narrowed down this week as part of the group project. These are meant to just be simple black and white thumbnails just to focus on what we learned and to give the rough idea of what this world may look like. Below are the six results of the thumbnail sketching homework:

When making these sketches I drew inspiration from various sources to get an idea on hoe to construct this world, ranging from Deadpool vs. Wolverine, the Mad Max franchise, certain regions in Star Wars and the Legend of Zelda etc.. If I were to do this task again and do things differently I would likely choose to use digital software to create them to make use of the different brush sizes to speed up the time and increase the visual quality of the images, however I am still quite satisfied at the overall quality of the final products.
