I thought this presentation that Wilson Miner give was very powerful but moving as well as inspire people and dream big. He mentions “We Shape our tools and therefore our tools shape us.” Basically the use of Technology shapes the way we live our life’s. Technology creates a new environment for us to live in. It is important for us humans to evolve with the technology around us. It is important that we learn to adapt to the constant changes in society or fear being left behind. Every technical development has a purpose in life and changes the way we think and communicate with each other. Changes happen fast and we must adjust to them. With the environment ever changing we must keep learning to adapt just like the technology learning to adapt to the environment around it. Technology does not last forever it keeps updating/developing.
Everything we do in interaction design evolves around a screen and human. Screens are everywhere in our life’s we use them to communicate daily. Computer is probably the most important technology development within the 21st century. Without thinking much we are in the process of building an environment that we will spent most of our time in for the rest of life’s. We humans are designers and builders of the future. The simple and smallest changes can create the biggest impact. We can change anything with own thoughts and ideas. We not only make things that change our own lives but the world we live in.
It’s important to live a life to remember, be the best you can be. We must make the most of our time on earth because we are only here for short time. The only thing people remember is what we did which made a difference. These differences may be small but meaningful but will have an impact on the people around us.
