Week 5

As the hunter model isn’t finished at the moment, I decided it was better for the group if I started to animate a base model and then apply the animations to the hunter model later.

I asked around in the group and we came to the conclusion that the hunter would act very much like an owl, so one of the main things I wanted was for his walk to be very animalistic, and as such, I looked at a lot of footage of owls walking and noticed that they walk a lot with their “hips” so decided to translate that into the walk.

I also used a basic tube mesh to get a rough idea as to how the hunter should be holding the gun…however part way through my animating, I lost the controls to the arms, and whilst this wasn’t a problem initially, i wanted to add some personality to the walk, and would need the arm controls, I may have had them selected and deleted them, but I honestly do not know when or how it happened, so I just continued on, and had to spawn in a second model and cross-reference what the name of the control was so I could add more keyframes to it.

Hopefully, when the hunter model is completed I can use the techniques I have learned in the morning classes to simply copy the keyframes over.
