I’m finally moving more and more into the animation stage of the walk cycle, however, I want to make the legs go along the same path, so it looks like a perfect cycle, so I copied the keyframes on the right leg, and copied them over to the left, of course adjusting for the left and right side of the legs.
However whilst working on this, I noticed….quite a big problem, as the character is walking, she lifts her legs up…both of them…at the same time, which isn’t accurate to the real world..so to fix this I simply pulled out the graph editor again and moved the axis down, In doing so I also adjusted the Z and X-axis, as I felt that’d look better.
Another thing was when I looked back at my reference footage, I placed my two feet directly in front of each other down a nearly straight line, creating this feminine “cat-walk” look, which I knew should be easy enough to replicate within the graph editor.
