Week 5

For this week the groups started to get mixed again, however I stayed in the same group I was in last week, meaning that there was no need to learn a new story line or characters, and i could instead focus on improving the world and the story, as well as adding new characters into the group

This meant that the homework this week would be much easier, the homework being that we needed to design characters from our world, I decided to redraw my old drawing of our main character Lugi, and invent a new character Known as Violet

Lugis redraw was simple, i just needed to take the teams existing concepts, which included my own, and re-work it to look more inline with a character sheet, I added a few expressions, a worried, excited and dreading/spooked face into the mix, to show their wide range of emotions

The next drawing I did was of a character I came up with myself, named Violet, I based her off a Velvet pioppini, a long necked mushroom. With the names both being a colour that started with a V i thought it be a nice play on words.

As for the character sheet, I made sure to include all of the necessary details, as she was a new character that I designed.

For Violet, I looked up an found an image of different mushroom types and picked one I felt I could make an interesting character out of, that hadn’t already been made by the group:

As this was my first time designing a character on my own that I later drew, I feel as though it turned out well! My experiences with the drawing pad are limited, but each time I draw I’m finding a new technique that I can later use in a drawing.
