As I am focusing more on environmental 3D modelling, I began looking at studios with environmental jobs. As a lot of studios will require a portfolio, I will be making mines on Art station which when I begin applying for jobs I can send over easily.
- Naughty Dog studios – Environmental Artist
I seen Naughty Dog studios in California advertise a job for an environmental artist, this studio is famous for its games such as The Last of Us and Uncharted, which are famously known for their realistic environments. Portfolio Expectations
On Naughty Dog’s official website, they include some guidelines for portfolio expectations such as: Creating a portfolio that can be submitted digitally such as a reel, as it will get reviewed by several people, and additionally it will avoid shipping costs. Secondly, for the portfolio it should include a resume, which will help the employer to view experience when viewing the reel. The Reel should be no longer than 4 minutes, putting the best work first and including material that is only approved for release. Thirdly, Naughty Dog state it is important to include a shot breakdown, explaining the work you did and the softwares used.
