To begin my CV, I began researching different layouts and formats that I can potentially use inspiration from. I want to create my CV in alignment with my business cards as I feel it will look a lot more professional, and will look nice when presented as one in the End of year show.
What I liked
I liked the layout I choose for my CV, I wanted to ensure I kept the grid quite simple and easy to read for the employer or client as I am making my CV for a long term use, like my business cards I wanted my CV to look quite professional but still blend nicely with my major project theme to be displayed at the end of year show – doing this, I kept quite darker colours and avoided using any bright and cheerful tones. I liked the look of having my logo within my CV as in previous draft I created in the past, I never included this detail.
what I disliked
I want to work and experiment slightly with the typeface as I feel it still isn’t right, I am going to continue to develop my CV and with research and feedback I will implement this within the design. I also feel like I need to align CV out a lot more to make sure it looks a lot cleaner, and ensure I am keeping fonts the same size as I noticed my sub title for ‘Education’ was slightly bigger than the rest of the sub titles.
Feedback
I sent my first CV draft away for some feedback, so I can adjust any changed for my a newer draft. I was told to change my ‘About Me’ section and to write as if I had graduated, additionally I was told to discuss elements such as core and unique skills that can be brought to the studio. I was also told, to change my sub title from ‘work experience’ to ‘experience’ and to add some of my university projects within this section.
I received some great advice, and will implement these changes into my new draft for my CV.
Draft 02
I also experimented with a different layout and some different colours for my CV.
