We got the opportunity to speak to Michael who works in an animation company to take a look and give us feedback for our personal projects so far.
Michael advised for to change my textures as my hospital was looking more like a museum than a hospital and to try a plain texture and then adding decals on Unreal to build up the abandoned looked as opposed to finding the perfect abandoned texture.
Michael also suggested some more assets, this I was already planning on doing but he informed me it would be nice to see some hospital equipment. Michael wanted me to work on the placement of dirt and blood on my assets as he said it should be scattered in a way that it makes sense, such as dirt gathering in corners of chairs as opposed to having it everywhere. This is something I am keeping in my mind before I complete any further assets.
Further research
Before I fix the sections Michael informed me about I wanted to complete some research of the assets I plan on adding into my scene such as:
- Waiting chairs
- Uv Pole
- Wheelchair
- Gurney
- syringes
- Face Masks
- Machines
- Curtains
- Tables
I will complete some research and find some references I will use when beginning the modelling of these assets in Maya.
