To begin my singer animation, I wanted to complete some research and the movement that are made by a female jazz singer. I watched some videos of different performances on Youtube however, a lot of them had little to no movement which wasn’t ideal for a looser dress. I found one video that did stand out to me and it was the type of movement I had in my head, so i was using this video as reference for my own singing character for my stage scene.
From watching the video, I noticed a lot of movement in the shoulders and elbows, However I was struggling quite a bit with the movement of the rig and asked Alec for some advice as I wanted the dress to look right before importing it into Unreal.

However Alec gave me some good advice to start in smaller sections and focus on the details, so for my second version of my dance animation i focused more hip movement and in the hands and fingers which turned out a lot better than my first attempt.
