To begin my modelling for my stage scene, i wanted to start on creating the microphone that will be placed up on the centre of the stage. I started researching the types of microphones that would typically be used in Jazz bars in the 1920’s. I found some Youtube images and google images of singer using a microphone called RCA 44 Style Ribbon Microphone, these are the style of microphone I want to model in Maya to make it as accurate as possible.

Using the references images, I modelled this 1920 style mic, as a group we decided to keep all our models fairly low poly so I ensured to keep this in mind as I was modelling, so to do this I paid more attention to the upper body of the microphone and kept the base a bit basic.
