As the PRME Chapter UK & Ireland launches its ninth annual Responsible Business and Management Student Writing Competition, Ulster University Business School proudly announces its cohort of students stepping forward to showcase their innovative ideas and research.  This year’s competition, a hallmark event for budding scholars and creative communicators, highlights the critical role of sustainability, ethical leadership, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in shaping the future of business. Among the entrants are Ulster’s own  Jess Silcock, Rebecca Miller, Charlotte Walker, Rhys Coleman, Sarah McGeough, Laura McMahon, Alana McConnell, and Finlay Gilraine

A Platform for Responsible Leadership
The PRME Student Writing Competition, co-hosted by Oxford Brookes Business School, invites students from over 100 PRME-affiliated institutions across the UK and Ireland to submit essays, reports, or alternative media projects that align with themes of responsible business and management. With categories for Undergraduate Written Work, Postgraduate Taught Master’s Submissions, and Alternative Media, the competition rewards creativity, critical thinking, and a clear connection to global sustainability challenges.

Ulster University Business School, a longstanding advocate of the PRME principles, has consistently encouraged students to integrate ethical frameworks and SDGs into their academic work. This year’s participants exemplify this commitment, tackling topics ranging from sustainable marketing strategies to ethical leadership in a digitized economy.
