Welcome to PRME Blogs!
Hello and Welcome to PRME Blogs at Ulster University Business School, this website will serve to communicate all the excellent work happening across the Business School and wider Ulster University. We are PRME applicants in 2024 and eager to join the PRME community.
I am a former PRME leader at another UK Institution (Sheffield Hallam) and I am looking forward to bringing all that learning to Ulster and Belfast. We have also launched new modules in our Business School this academic year that are wholly dedicated to sustainability, these are part of our large apprentice programmes in the Business Engagement Unit.

Our new modules are also connected to Sheffield Hallam University, in fact the Level 5 modules share the same name and similar content, our modules have been designed to compliment each other and give our students opportunities to work together. Our assignments have been written in a way to support the PRME UK&I Writing competition and to be published at UU PRME blogs.
As an example of our SHU/UU Parthership, our taught sessions begin with a shared Padlet board (see below), where students are encouraged to upload their observations from the week, for example a news story that has caught their eye, this can be seen across institutions and the stories that are picked by each University are naturally varied. For example, our students in Belfast recently shared examples of the recent GAA trip to Africa, or the Local Transport Strikes, whereas the Sheffield students selected stories closer to home including the premier league and its commitment to sustainability.

Over the course of the academic year, we will share updates about our PRME journey and PRME application!
