In preparation for our ‘create a world’ project, my teammates and I settled on our final idea; a world where the planets of the solar system participate in the Space Olympics. Below are some of my thumbnails depicting ideas for our world, such as different events and the landscape. In the coming lessons, my team and I will combine our individual thumbnails and begin to create more detailed concept drawings for both our world and our characters.
Pictured below are some of the thumbnail sketches I made for our world, which I think convey The world’s environment well, but if I were to re-do them, I would consider adding more detail and structure rather than colour blocking shapes and silhouettes.
