Morning Class:
During this morning class we covered what the semester schedule will be, an introduction to the module and what the marking criteria will be. We were also shown what each assignment is worth, percentage and mark distribution. Yuan informed us of the deadlines for each assignment and how to contact the lecturers and gave a general overview of blackboard and how to submit assignments.
We all were then given a 15-minute break.
After the break we had a menti quiz about the dissertation and report to see where everyone is currently. Then, Yuan gave a few presentations on choosing a topic for the dissertation or industry report like how to choose a topic, finding a question that fits within the topic and the difference between an industry report and a dissertation. After we had another menti quiz to check if we could identify what a dissertation question is and what a report question is.
Finally, we covered what a reading list is, some online resources and some examples of previous years dissertations and industry reports.
