Final Group Critique
This week was our final chance to get some extra feedback on our designs so far.
I really enjoyed having a nosey at everyone else’s work so far as well.
This was also a really good time to have another feedback session, as I can make some extra changes to my design before I properly get into prototyping it.
Here is the PDF file that I put on the Miro board today.
Here is a screenshot of the feedback I got:
Feedback
Most of the feedback that I got was really positive, which I was very happy about!
Paul mentioned my new word-mark, and asked what the typeface I used was because he thought it was really nice. Another one of my peers told me how much they liked it as well. I was really happy to hear this, because the typeface I had initially chosen wasn’t working too well.
Paul also suggested that I include some more spacing on the food diary screen, and give everything a bit more room to breathe. This makes sense, as the screen does look a bit cramped compared to the rest.
Some suggestions I was given from my peers include:
- Change the community icon
- Make all of the icons in the navigation bar either be filled, or just made with a stroke
- Try make the symptoms icon more health related
I am thankful to have gotten some suggestions, along with the good feedback, as I am now able to take this advice on and improve my design.
I was definitely wanting to change the community icon before now, and I knew something was off about the icons in the navigation bar, but couldn’t figure out what it was, so I’m glad that someone pointed this out!
I was also not too sure about the symptoms icon to begin with, so I am now a lot more inclined to change it. I will sketch out some ideas first, and then move on to creating a digital version on Figma.
I am looking forward to making these changes, and also designing a couple of extra screens that will make some more buttons usable.
