Finding Images and Information
I want my project to be quite photography-based, with images taken on the moon, and from satellites. To do this, I went onto the Apollo11 page on the NASA website.
They have an extensive photo gallery, including images both on and off the moon. I decided to look to my wireframes and see which ones I’d need the most, then downloaded them onto my computer.
I also had to get some more information that I wanted to include about the crew. I used wikipedia for this, as well as the Apollo 11 page on the NASA site.
I then looked up some famous quotes that each astronaut said about their experience on the mission, because I want to have one for each of them on the “Meet the Crew” page as well.
Here are some of the images that I collected to use in my project:
I have already started turning some of these images in to png’s by removing the background, because I know which way I will be using them. I have also changed the shape of the foorprint on the moon photo to be circular because I know I want it to look this way on the page that I am inserting it onto.
There are some others that i’m unsure about using, and I might go back onto the NASA website to find other ones to use in their place in the near future.
