In order to effectively design my webpage essay, I needed to first come up with a simple sketch on paper.
I drew six wireframes outlining what I hope my webpage essay will look like when it is completed. I haven’t yet decided on a colour scheme, however, when I do come up with a few ideas I will test the different colour ways before finalising my design.
Here are my webpage wireframes:
Seeing as I currently have six sections to my essay (including intro and conclusion), I wanted to sketch out as much of each section as possible.
I think that, with such a large amount of text, including plenty of images and some blockquotes will break it up nicely, and make it more enjoyable to read. This will also add imagery to bring further context to what I am writing about within the essay itself.
In my webpage essay, I will use a typeface as close as possible to the one Sagmeister uses in his website.
I will use black, white, and yellow as the colour theme, also because these are colours that Sagmeister tends to use quite a bit within his own site.
