This week me and my group had to focus on creating a presentation showcasing our progress on our animation and what we’d learnt over the duration, what we intend to and/or would change in our work. In the presentation I focused mostly on doing voiceover work and evaluating my work and what I thought of what I’d done. I mentioned how I’m quite happy with what I’ve got of my animation — though I see the inherant flaws and shortcomings in it that I now know how to fix and avoid in my future work thanks to feedback from tutors and peers. I think, all things considered that I’ve got a pretty good attempt at an animation since it was my first ever animation that wasn’t just a ball bouncing or a flour sack moving, and I’ve had the chance to reflect and improve by doing this.
This week I coloured the second scene I had done the lines for the week before. It was relatively easy to colour since it was just a close up of the one character. I love the personality this scene has, and I’m glad it’s done now.
I did the rough animation for the 3rd and longest scene in my animation as well – the first 2 scenes take up about a second each while this one takes around 6 seconds. I found some poses and some movements hard to do since there’s a range of movement and arcs in this scene. I’m quite happy with the personality I’ve managed to convey in this scene though, I think it captures the characters personalitys very well.
