Prologue
What is a style tile? A Style Tile is a design deliverable consisting of fonts, colors and interface elements that communicates the evolution of a visual brand for the web.
They are a good way of making a collection of elements in which you want your final product to look like visually. Think of them as very specific moodboards, focused on one thing. We where asked to create one of our own to represent our Apollo project, this being the first time I have ever attempted this. It was going to be an interesting attempt.
Style Tile
This is the style I plan to go with, making use of the old school computer style. I took inspiration from Fallout 3 and High Fleet when looking at ideas.
Overall I am pretty happy with this, I think it was a great exercise to get all my main focal points of my project into one moodboard to give myself and others a clear understanding of my chosen path.
