Lately, I have been working on my usage of colour for my animation. Below, I have coloured the run sequence shown in my last post and my plan is to now experiment what works best together. To ensure that the colour palette stays consistent in my final animation, I will next bring these drawings onto After Effects to experiment how they move along with the background. With what I have been doing so far, I have been really inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli, most specifically their background work and character expression. I will upload examples of my research in upcoming posts, along with my interpretations!

I feel that my animation, so far, is going reasonably well. However, there are a few things that I do need to work on before I bring it all together and an example of this is my timing. Timing is something I seem to struggle with, therefore I intend to be really careful in order not to make my movements seem unnaturally fast or too stiff- my goal is to find a balance between the two.
