In class, we looked at how UI cards are used to display content on websites or apps. They are user friendly as they show important information in the same place, they improve navigation and they are visually appealing.
We were then asked to practice creating our own UI cards with music albums or tracks. The ones I created are shown below:
They are clean and minimalistic which makes it easier to navigate and read the information. All three cards are consistent with the layout, the text/ image/ button size and the font. The font is clear and easy to read. I changed the colour of the buttons and the name of the artist to match the main colour on the album cover. This made the card more aesthetically pleasing and consistent.
I enjoyed doing this task because it had an element of music which is one of my passions. It also taught me a lot about design and how important layout and consistency is.
