Sound
Marnie and I handled post-production for the group; I focused on sound composition and gathering for the film.
I used Pixabay for all of my sound and music gathering, as it’s a website that focuses on royalty free sound, music, animations, and images. I did most of my editing in CapCut, as that’s what I had on my computer, and I could take it with me in case I needed to leave Belfast early.
This is what my timeline looks like at the moment, I want to add more sound in because the film feels quite empty with only these basic tracks. If I have the time, I would love to create foyley sounds to layer in, such as the pufferfish breathing and different growling sounds for the hammerhead.
In my production blog, I mentioned that in CapCut my scenes became very slow, so when editing, I sped them up a bit to match the pace of everyone else’s scenes.
At this point in time, the effects for all the scenes weren’t done yet, but I put the scenes in the timeline anyway to get a head start on sound effects and their timing.
