Class work

In class work this week we did tone and value. For class tasks this week we had to draw and shade an object for our world and I chose the robot head from our main antagonist the giant robot who is also the protagonists boss in the real mundane world.

After the first exercise our next one we had to pick 3 of our 6 thumnails to expand and add more detail to. I got two fully finished and im going to finish the last one during our catch up week. I wanted to explore different techniques such as crosshatching and two tone value. I’m very happy with the end product as I found the value and tone exercises very difficult but its very rewarding and I feel much more experienced as an animator.

For our homework we had to keep sketching ideas of our world but we also decided to finalise our plot which is now that;

Our protagonist falls asleep at his office job and is transported into his dream world where he is a vigilante hero. He is lead around by heartbot exploring the cyberpunk city before the giant robot attacks the city and starts stealing money. Heartbot is helping the protagonist fight the robot and as the protagonist is about to deliver the final blow we snap back to real world as he sucker punches his boss. We also came up with a possible after credit scene of the protagonist being fired by his boss in a similiar fashion to the first half of the incredibles.

Homework

Our final homework is that we had to make two moodboards for our worlds.
