This week’s lecture was all about typography, the rules and things to consider when marking up content and how to approach typography for our Apollo projects.
I found this lecture quite interesting, A lot of what was covered we had looked at in previous modules but perhaps in less detail, so this lecture overall was a good refresher on the subject of typography. I learned a lot about the key things to consider like type scale, important terms, the finer details like primes and quotations and we looked at a lot of great examples and were given a bunch of different tips and resources to help us with typography for our own projects.
Over all I found this lecture content very valuable and it’s gotten me thinking about how I’m going to approach typography in my Apollo project. Right now I’m settling on the idea of doing something silver age comic inspired, so I’m going to focus on looking at comics for typography inspiration.
