I have been asked to research typeface anatomy. A typeface is defined as a family of fonts. A font is described as a type of typeface. One example of a typeface that I used to create my anatomy is Baskerville. I have created this task using PowerPoint and used boxes/forms of highlights to show each element. The task required me to create my own name (surname and forename) and highlight each element of the typeface. I have researched and found some examples of other typefaces.

Highlights key areas of each letter of the typeface.

Highlights each line and structure of typeface e.g. Baseline, X-Height

My own Anatomy of Typeface:

This is my own anatomy that I created using my name. I have highlighted each are and section to increase my knowledge. I have used the colour blue as it is my favourite colour to use. I have used Baskerville old face as my typeface of choice.
