The first week’s model was a very fun opening lesson to the course. It held just the right amount of difficulty in terms of what was handed to us and what we had to explore in order to find a final product that was likable.
I found the texturing process rather easy, coupled with some online tutorials about HDRIs and making a ground-like plane this portion of the activity was very enjoyable.
However, I did find it rather hard to animate the snowman in the way I desired. I originally wanted the pieces of the snowman’s body to collapse and fall apart after the ‘waving’ motion it does side to side, but proved to be too challenging at my skill level. So, I had to settle for a less intense animation due to time constraints.
