Overall, this assignment provided me with a lot of challenges that ultimately gave me satisfaction when completed. Throughout the five weeks I found myself having to adjust and find a pace of flow that worked for me. This was a difficult thing to achieve at first, as my process had always been intense bursts of energy that would lead me to spend a whole day on something, only to burn out and leave to ‘recharge’ for an unspecified amount of time. This was something that I had to learn to alternate as the work we were distributed was in a steady flow on a week-by-week basis.

Despite this, I found solace in the feeling of improvement and learning in spite of my struggle with UV wrapping and Animating. Before joining Ulster, I had a limited experience with Blender, this meant I had to closely follow the tutorials given. However, now that I have built up my knowledge I am able to model more efficiently and achieve results that I previously could not.

Adobe’s Substance was something that I found rather intuitive after some basic tutorials on how specific functions work. I do believe anyhow, that there is definitely more to learn about the program as my familiarity with Substance will continue to grow.
