My first time ever working in 3D was an absolute doozy. I had never been so lost in my whole life, however, listening to our glorious king Mike’s tutorials and videos helped me gain confidence right away. The in class workshops took me forever but again helped in building vital fundamentals for going into the Snowman task.

I took longer than most probably when it came to modelling the snowman but got it done quick enough, learning all the keyboard shortcuts was my main goal during this task. In that I’ve been pretty successful and can now at least move around and carry out tasks with efficiency.

The problems start with the arms. I was able to understand parenting the body together but when I got to the arms something went wrong. Not only did I take way too long adjusting the fingers?? They just kept looking weird to me. At some point during this I did something, I don’t know what but it made it so that when I went to animate my lovely snowman – moving the arms moved all the stones on the face and the hat. My heart dropped when that happened and I’ve kept it at the back of my to do list for now. I don’t have screenshots yet since I lowkey think it deleted? Hopefully not. Maybe I’ll just redo it.
