In week 3 of Animated Narratives, as a class we all viewed each group’s presentations and listened to feedback. The feedback was very helpful as it helps us learn and develop in our speaking and gathering of research and information. There was also feedback on layout of slides which I found helpful. All feedback I received will be utilised going forward and will hopefully help me improve upon any presentations I have in the future.
Below is a link to my recording of my slides and a link to the group presentation:
Group presentation video was too large to upload to the blog so I have included the link for that below:

In the afternoon we were then briefed on our second upcoming assignment which was to create a 3D animated short in groups. We all got to pick our groups and I joined up with Eimear Doherty, Tim Vogan and Mark Smith. I am happy with my group and I feel we can all work well together and have lots of ideas.
In the same afternoon, all groups got together to brainstorm ideas for their animation. We drew up and planned out a lot of potential ideas on our whiteboard and bounced different ideas off of each other.
We eventually came up with an idea together. The quick synopsis of the idea is that two swordfish fight for the attention of a female puffer fish. The swordfish fright with each other and go into a duel against each other. In the climax of the duel however, a great white shark swoops in and consumes both swordfish in one bite. This impresses the puffer fish, which leads her to declare her love for the shark. The shark however sees her as his next meal.
