Practicing Color Theories
Here I have selected 3 of my thumbnails from previous weeks and added color with the color schemes in mind ( complimentary, triadic analogous)
complimentary

this is a thumbnail from my demon world group. i am very pleased with my decision to make the rocks blue as it is more unique and contrast the lava really well. however i could of incorporated a lot more highlights and shadows to make the image more clear and have more definition and structure.
Analogous

For this thumbnail I used the analogous color scheme as I have included much more natural earth tones. i am pleased woth how this turned put as it is very whimsical and captures fairytale type essence which I find very interesting.
Triadic
for this colour scheme I chose a thumbnail from my first weeks group ‘space Zoo’. I am happy with the colors I have used for the space ship however believe I could have chosen a better colour for the background as it is too similar and doesn’t contrast the foreground enough causing them to blend in with each other.
Robots Lorax 9

here I have chosen 3 animations with very different color schemes and picked out their color schemes and main cooers used.
-Robots appears is clearly a kids show by looking at it however uses limited colors with more dull tones and colours.
-it is instantly made clear when looking at Lorax that it is a movie directed towards a younger audience as the colors portray a very whimsical light hearted movie.
-The movie 9 includes much darker tones and various green shades. The colors indicate instantly that this move is much different and potentially a but more daunting and scary.
Color Theory Exercise

In this task we had to take this outline and use color to portray a certain emotion. I really enjoyed this task as color is something I really enjoy as I feel like I can really put my creativity to use.
-in the first image I have used darker duller color’s. It is almost – for my second image i went for a completely opposite
monochromatic as apart from the greenery I have used all different approach as I have used very artificial bright colors
shades blue to create a more somber depressing theme. to portray a whimsical tone and environment. this is somewhat
inspired by the tones and colors of the Lorax which I have included previously
