Animation Progress

Woo! I finally got lining my animation! Unfortunately, I ran into a BUNCH of complications and I had to start over a looooot.

At first I was trying to use the paint brush tool on adobe animate to give my lines a really cool pencil bumpy texture, and it was looking great at first! Unfortunately though I guess it isn’t optimised for a lot of frames with a lot of strokes, as it was making the program so slow it was unusable, I tried suuuper hard to get this to work but I had to scrap all the frames.

Next I thought I could export every frame as a png and do the lineart in Paint Tool Sai, which was kind of working until I put it into animate again to see how they looked and it came out awful, so i was back to the drawing board.

Next I tried to just use the regular brush tool, but I realised it wasn’t worth it once I got the first section lined, it took way too long to get it to look decent and even then I really wasn’t happy with it.

Eventually I decided to try krita upon Neave’s reccomendation, it was a little weird to get used to at first, and there was no motion tween option which was a little disappointing, but it went much better! I found a brush sort of bumpy how I wanted and ran with it!
I spent a lot of time working on getting the hair to look perfect as it was the part I was most proud of, I’m super happy with it!
