One-to-one Tutorials

On week 6 I had a meeting with Alec to discuss my work and how I’ve been finding things so far. To me I feel that I’m on track and I’ve been really enjoying all my lesson content! My only big issue was that my PC was kind of slowing me down, but I got an upgrade for it and things have been way better! No problems here!

Animation Introduction

Week 7 was all about animation, one of our exercises was studying how balls bounce to practice timing and spacing.
One ball was just based on simple arcs that Alec gave us as an example! Next I looked up some references of bouncing ball videos on youtube, there were surprisingly a lot more than I thought there would be.

From there, I based the second on a bowling ball and third on a ping pong ball.

Overall I’m really happy with the result! I feel that I could’ve tweaked the bowling ball a little more, or made the blue ball roll a little more as it’s technically more rubbery and lighter than the bowling ball, yet they both come to a stop around the same time. The ping pong ball came out great though!
