Hi, I’m Jess!

I’m a UX/UI Designer focusing on my passion for progress and creating meaningful experiences for users, and creating flowing design systems for web and mobile products. I’m currently a second year Interaction Design student, studying at Ulster University, Belfast. I am devoted to learning, and have always found design to be my greatest outlet.

What I’m strongest at:
• Prototyping & Refining –
Refining my final design is one of my favourite parts of the design process. Being able to see everything come together, and using problem solving to resolve issues.
• User Research – I believe that good user research before any project is beneficial to creating a great product. It is important to take into account the needs of your users, and understand existing problems that can be overcome.
• Ideation –
Finding ideas through brainstorming and inspiration research. I love this part of the design process as it allows my creativity to fully flow, and explore different attributes that I may not have tried before.

During my first year of studying Interaction Design, I have become much more confident in my ability to design and develop websites and applications. I entered into the course with the intention of learning the skills needed to become a UX/UI Designer in the future, and I feel comfortable that I am steadily working my way up that path. I am excited for everything more I have to learn.
