Taking part in the animated narratives assignment was both a challenging and rewarding experience. This task was not just a technical exercise, it would also test our abilities collaborate creatively, manage our time efficiently and problem solve as a team. One of the key things I learned was the importance of pre-production planning. As a group, we spent a significant amount of time brainstorming ideas that could communicate the theme in an engaging and visually appealing way. This stage required compromise and negotiation, which helped me develop stronger communication skills and a better appreciation for different creative viewpoints. One of the biggest challenges we faced as a group was the lack of communication and delayed contributions from one team member. They consistently submitted work late and often failed to respond to messages or attend meetings. This caused a lot of disruption, as we had to reassign tasks last minute and sometimes work around missing elements to keep the project moving forward. It was frustrating at times, and it added stress to an already tight schedule. However, it also taught me how to adapt under pressure, problem solve quickly, and reinforce the importance of accountability in group work. Despite these setbacks, we managed to pull together and deliver a completed short that we were proud of. Regular updates and feedback helped us maintain a unified visual style and ensured that everyone else stayed on top of tasks as best we could. It was a valuable experience that not only strengthened my technical skills in Blender but also helped me grow in teamwork and flexibility.
