Short Peer Assessment 📊

MY PERSONAL REFLECTION ON EACH TEAM MEMBER’S CONTRIBUTION TO OUR PROJECT
HURLEY (30%)
Hurley is a reliable, intelligent, and communicative member of our team. Her analyses are always highly insightful and observant. She is an independent and proactive team member, being the one to suggest and schedule our first group library meeting. Her slides on our PowerPoint Presentation are informative and showcase her discerning research acumen. Though, during our presentation, I feel she could have spoken more confidently – I believe she had trouble summarising the text in her slides at points. But overall, I deeply enjoyed collaborating with her and would love to work with her again in future.
CHRISTINE (30%)
Christine is a dependable, resourceful, and scrupulous member of our team. Her analyses display a meticulous attention to detail. She is an incredibly driven and thoughtful team member, always interested in brainstorming with other members – talking through our diverse ideas. Her slides on our PowerPoint Presentation are illuminating and thoroughly explore her research into this project. Though, during our presentation, I feel she could have spoken more confidently – I believe she had trouble summarising the text in her slides at points. But overall, I greatly enjoyed collaborating with her and would love to work with her again in future.
AMBER (10%)
Amber was not present for most of this project. She did not attend our first (and major) 3 group meetings on campus – despite the fact that she had actually scheduled that 3rd meeting. Following this considerable absence, she scheduled a meeting with Hurley who updated her on all that she had missed – which does show initiative and care for the project. Equally however, in the weeks prior, she had scheduled a video call meeting with me which she cancelled last minute. The only time I have been in a group meeting with Amber was in a video call the night before our presentation, where we as a group finalised the remaining few aspects of our PowerPoint slides. Thus, I am incapable of describing the quality of her skills individually or as a group member. I can only infer from her slides on our PowerPoint Presentation that she does indeed possess a reasonable level of analytical and research-based ability. I find it unfortunate that I was not able to work with her more on this project and see those skills put to more use.
JACK (30%)
I feel that I was an organised, hardworking, and engaged team member throughout this project. I feel my analyses are well founded and supported by significant research. I tried my best to communicate openly and work collaboratively with my fellow teammates – I initiated the use of whiteboards for brainstorming and mind-mapping our ideas. I worked on the majority of solo slides for our PowerPoint presentation and tried my hardest to make them well-designed and informative. Whilst I felt very confident during the presentation, I worry that I perhaps spoke longer than my fellow members. Next time I aim to be more aware of the time factor. Overall, I feel I contributed my best to this project and look forward to Coursework 2.
Thank you.
