Various tasks done today – very productive!
TASK 1: Random Shapes: New Designs
It was very fun to use these random shapes to guide the forms of my characters. Some were very obvious in my head (Cat [BOTTOM-LEFT] and Hooked Nose Figure [TOP-RIGHT]) but others were not so easy. It was hard to stay inside at times and I even broke that rule at one point (See the left eye of the Blue Figure with slicked-back hair and large mouth [CENTRE]). I believe this encouraged me to have a greater degree of confidence and trust in my own abilities and required me to be more inventive by ironically restricting me to these predetermined shapes.
TASK 2: Exaggerating Shapes – Making New Characters
