When given the opportunity to move groups, I moved to the biotech group as I found the concepts they had talked about intriguing and I wished to join. so I did. I unfortunately wasn’t part of the original group that developed the idea but we have since evolved the idea into a kind of post apocalyptic world where a deadly plant disease is taking over the world. My inspiration came from games such as the last of us, I was more so inspired by a fungus called “Ophiocordyceps unilateralis” which is a species of fungus takes the body’s of ants. It also will grow fungi and nature from the body of the ants.
Taking inspiration from this we created a fungi that slowly takes over the body of the host.
I made this diagram on this made up illness to help the group understand. the group consists of Beth Holland, and Michael Hanna who are amazing to work with, being both kind and creative.
we worked on solidifying on how this world works, with there being no electricity, and how transport is mainly by horse or wheel.
