Personal Brand and self-Promotion
This is an area of my work where I need to improve, on social media I am not very good at updating my work. I started LinkedIn which I want to improve as I want my Instagram and my LinkedIn profile to be my main way of self-promotion until I finish my final outcomes and make a Portfolio. I wish to make this as a website and include still and some animated work. My lack of confidence hinders me when I go to post on these sites. My way to improve this is to just post and post until it doesn’t seem as scary anymore. As I can be a perfectionist this can be tough.
With researching other brands for building my own I researched other business cards and came across several various interesting ones. From translucent to pink plastic and weird, shaped designs. I loved looking at all the different colour schemes as colour is important when choosing for your brand, I found the more limited the colour palette the better the outcome will be. I like having a clean and crisp composition. I found that the cards that have icons or imagery on them to be more interesting, It shows personality especially if the illustrations are hand drawn.
