Poster

My poster designs draw inspiration from vibrant storytelling and the distinctive artistic style seen in Wallace and Gromit posters.

I then selected my favourite poster design and refined it with greater detail to deepen my understanding of its composition and overall impact.

Feedback

After gathering all the group’s posters, we presented them to Henry for feedback. He advised that one of Nicole’s designs stood out as the strongest, so we collectively decided to move forward with her concept. She then refined and rendered it in Blender, bringing the design to life with added depth and detail.

Final Poster

This is our final poster, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I believe it effectively captures the tone and personality of the film, bringing its essence to life in a visually compelling way.

Cv research

I wanted my CV to reflect my personality while also being clear and easy to navigate, allowing key details to stand out effortlessly. To achieve this, I explored various design inspirations, drawn to the pixelated, PC desktop aesthetic with soft pink tones. This style felt fresh, unique, and aligned with my vision, helping create a CV that is both visually engaging and effectively communicates my strengths.

Final CV

This is my final CV, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I wanted to create something that truly reflects my personality while maintaining clarity and balance. To achieve this, I started by designing the background in Procreate, ensuring it had the right visual appeal and complemented the overall aesthetic. To add a three-dimensional element, I rendered a 3D heart in Blender, which gives the design extra depth and character. For the text, I used Microsoft Word, carefully arranging the details to ensure readability and ease of navigation.

Since my design is quite bold and visually strong, I was mindful of keeping the layout clean and uncluttered. I simplified my information so that key details are easy to digest at a glance, making sure that the overall structure supports both creativity and functionality. My goal was to strike the perfect balance, allowing my artistic style to shine while ensuring the CV remains practical and effective. By combining hand-drawn elements with 3D rendering and structured text, I feel I’ve created a CV that is engaging, unique, and reflective of who I am.

business card research

I wanted my business cards to complement my CV, ensuring a cohesive and visually consistent brand identity. To achieve this, I searched for references that aligned with my vision, but unfortunately, I found limited examples that truly matched what I had in mind. This pushed me to rely on my creativity, drawing inspiration from the pixelated, PC desktop aesthetic and pink tones I had incorporated into my CV. By refining my approach and experimenting with different layouts, I was able to develop a design that felt unique, professional, and perfectly aligned with my personal style.

Final business cards

I experimented with pixel art in Procreate, exploring different styles and compositions to refine my approach. After creating two distinct designs, I decided to use both to introduce variety while ensuring they still complement each other. By maintaining a cohesive aesthetic, I kept everything visually consistent, reinforcing the overall theme and identity of my work.

I’m really pleased with how these turned out, and I plan to print them on 300gsm cardstock to ensure a high-quality finish.

Showreel

I updated my showreel by incorporating my latest pieces of work and removing older clips that no longer added value.

I believe my updated showreel turned out exceptionally well. It effectively showcases all of my recent work and highlights the strengths I possess within the 3D pipeline. By incorporating my latest projects and removing older pieces that no longer added value, I’ve created a dynamic and engaging reel. It demonstrates my versatility and proficiency in various aspects of 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and rendering. I’m confident that this showreel accurately reflects my skills and capabilities, making it a strong representation of my professional growth and expertise.

End of year show stuff

For the display, I envisioned creating group business cards that serve a dual purpose. These cards act as props, enhancing the visual appeal of our setup. When turned over, they reveal our names and email addresses, adding a smart and interactive feature that encourages engagement. This innovative approach not only makes the cards functional but also memorable.
In addition to the business cards, I wanted to create something tangible that people could wear and remember our animation by. To achieve this, I designed keychains. These keychains serve as practical items that people can use daily, while also acting as keepsakes that remind them of our work. By incorporating these elements, I aim to leave a lasting impression on our audience, making our display both functional and memorable.
The combination of smart business cards and wearable keychains reflects our creativity and attention to detail. It showcases our ability to think outside the box and create meaningful connections with our audience. I believe these additions will enhance the overall experience and ensure that our animation is remembered long after the display is over.

Final Display

Our display is now fully set up, and I believe we successfully managed to recreate Mr. O’ Malley’s home to the best of our ability. We were careful not to go overboard, ensuring that the setup remained professional and didn’t distract from the main focus, which is our animation. The balance we struck between authenticity and professionalism allows the display to enhance the viewer’s experience without overshadowing the animation itself.
We paid close attention to the details, incorporating elements that evoke the essence of Mr. Mallet’s home while maintaining a clean and polished look. This thoughtful approach ensures that the environment complements the animation, creating a cohesive and immersive experience for the audience. The props and decorations were chosen meticulously to reflect the character and atmosphere of Mr. Mallet’s home, adding depth and context to our work.
By achieving this balance, we hope to draw viewers into the world of our animation, making them feel connected to the story and characters. The professional setup also demonstrates our commitment to quality and our ability to create engaging and visually appealing displays. Overall, I am very pleased with how everything turned out and confident that our display will leave a lasting impression on everyone who sees it.

Updating my showreel was particularly rewarding. By incorporating my latest pieces and removing older ones, I created a dynamic and engaging reel that highlights my strengths within the 3D pipeline. This process not only showcased my technical skills but also my ability to tell compelling stories through animation.
Designing the business cards added a smart and interactive element to my professional toolkit. These cards, which double as props, enhance our display and make it easy for viewers to connect with us. The keychains I created serve as memorable keepsakes, further reinforcing our brand and leaving a lasting impression.
Preparing for the final year show was the culmination of all our efforts. Setting up the display to resemble Mr. Mallet’s home, while maintaining a professional look, was a delicate balance. We succeeded in creating an immersive environment that complements our animation without overshadowing it. This thoughtful approach ensures that our work is presented in the best possible light.
