Warm Up Exercises on Krita:
We were asked to practice drawing on Krita to get familiar with using a drawing tablet. I found this exercise really useful as I’m very used to drawing on my iPad and I’m used to seeing what I’m drawing automatically. I’m still not used to using a drawing tablet or Krita as i find it much slower but I’m willing to give it a try.
I even attempted to draw my mouse, but as you can see its not very great…
Form Exercise – Flour Sack:
I began to draw out different shapes and then drew them in different forms. Most characters/objects are made up of basic forms which is why this is so useful understand how different forms work and how they also work when combined.
Here you can see I have combined a circle and square shape to create a form of a flour sack.
Character Draw-over Homework:
Following on from the exercises in class, we were asked to take a few of our favourite 2D characters and draw over the top in a 3D view to try and help me visualise the form of each character.
