CLASS EXERCISES:
This week was a bit of a step up from form and shape, where looked into composition and different types of perspective. We started off with composition, where the lecturer taught and explained why we use different compositions in film.
After we took a look at a few examples, we were asked to create rough thumbnails of our world ideas, 2 rule of thirds and 2 golden ratio. I decided to add a little color too just for fun.

Next we looked at symmetry, where in our groups we took some symmetrical photos, chose one and expanded on that. It was a good exercise to see what caught our eyes.

I was inspired by the red chairs, and decided to create a meatball mountain, which was a design concept for our group.

I was very fascinated by the use of geometry Studio Ghibli use, so I found this exercise fun and much easier than the others but still useful.

Compared to the geometry exercise, I found I struggled much more with this exercise, and wasn’t completely sure if I was going along the right lines. One-point was simple enough, but I still need to practice two-point perspective as I did require a guide when drawing it.
