Contents
Word limit – what is included in the 10,000 words:
- All main sections of the dissertation (1-5 in Sections to include)
- Introduction
- in-text citations
Word limit – what is not included:
- Title page
- Acknowledgements
- Abstract
- contents (including any list of tables and figures before the main text)
- reference list
- appendices
Note:
Table content does not count towards the word limit, but tables should not be used to include large amounts of text in order to get around the word limit.
Tables with too much text (by the supervisor’s judgment) will be counted towards the word limit.
Word limit flexibility: +/- 1,000 words
Coursework 2 formatting
- Typed, double-spaced
- size A4
- Size 12 font, either Calibri, Times New Roman, Arial, Verdana or Tahoma
- Black and white (unless colour is an integral part of the investigation)
- Outside front cover:
- the project title
- your name
- your supervisor’s name
- Tables and graphs should be numbered to refer to them in the text.
- Include page numbers, including appendices and references.
